Started djing back in 1982 while in the military. Learned the art of "mixing" from Rory McAlister. Being from Chicago and being able to get into most of the clubs at a time when "House Music" was really going full tilt was a experience that words cannot describe. Listening(mostly dancing/jackin)to that analog sound was unreal! The way the dj's did their thing back then was amazing. The whole vibe was different. With that said, this formed the real foundation for the way I mix today. I like to let the song breathe, let it play out. This way people get the chance to get into the vibe or the vibe get into you. Also driving a semi-truck(18 wheeler)was my other passion. Having travelled across the USA/Canda as a trucker and being in the military overseas gave me the opportunity to listen to different grooves from different places. Djing for me is real, it's like having a lover, spending time with the person, making sure that this relationship is alive, well cared for and healthy. I like to play grooves that are grooves to me, not because it's the flavor of the month.

The whole dance/house scene has changed, I try an focus on grooves that have the soul, funky type of sound. There is alot of music out here but you have to search for music that gives you that "special feeling". Most people know it when they hear it, it gives you "goosebumps"!

Music is fuel for the soul and if you have poor quailty music then, well you know. Being a dj is great, to be able to interact with the people, getting into the groove and the groove getting into you.
