Born and bred on the East Coast, DJ Greg Drescher’s musical style derives from his early days in New York’s clubs and more recent years in Chicago. The influence of both cities can be heard in Greg’s music, blending progressive house, sultry vocals, circuit anthems and hard-hitting tribal beats, and his passion for music is apparent in every set.
A Harvard attorney by day, Greg jump started his career as a professional DJ by first spinning at the legendary Crobar Nightclub in Chicago, where he quickly established himself as a resident DJ for GLEEclub Sundays for three years. During this time, his sound has also been heard in Chicago’s most popular clubs, including Hydrate, Excalibur, Circuit, Berlin, Felt & Atmosphere. In addition, Greg’s talent has been requested by the top DJs and promoters, allowing him to open for the most talented DJs in the industry, including Tracy Young, Tony Moran, Abel, Manny Lehman, David Knapp, Lydia Prim and Roland Belmares.
In recognition of his talents, the Hearts Foundation selected him for events for three years in a row, including the Fireball 2005 Closing Party at Crobar, the Fireball 2004 event at the Aragon Ballroom (w/Tracy Young), Chicago Pride 2003 (w/Barry Harris), the Fireball 2002 Closing Party (VIP Room) and Refuel 2002.
More recently, Greg has been traveling the national scene, including a notable event at the historic Pines Pavilion on Fire Island, and he made his international debut at a sold-out event in Tel Aviv (w/Offer Nissim). Meanwhile, he continues to maintain his law practice, has a weekly residency at Hydrate in Chicago, and has become involved with Tracy Young’s new record label, Ferosh Records
