Dj MAYHEM Biography

I come from a family of musicians, in which my father was a percussionist.
In 1988, my curiosity was captured by the sight of a record being "scratched". It was not long after that i got my first set of turntables (which were woodgrain). I started on my journey, saving every cent for equipment & records. Some years after, I was able to get some 1200's and utilized the years of improvising and discipline to boost my skill. After college, I drifted away from music. But like all passions in life, you can not escape what is a part of you. One fateful summer day, I found myself in a record store with BADDMIXX, SPINHYPE & SUSPENCE. The Vinylists were formed and the rest is history! So, here I am! Ready to take on the world & the FUTURE!
