Sure you have probably heard Gun Shots in your area of town, but do you really investigate what is going on in your local community as a whole? Personally i hear Gunshots like 1 time a year and thats in-frequent however some of you live in area's that are over-ridden with gangs, Drug Dealers, shootings, car robberys, break-in's and other things. I see it all the time since i drive alot and go thru all area's of chicago, Some are worse then others but everything needs cleaned up. The Police need to get more involved as well and install more camera's. i was very troubled by what happend to Jennifer Hudson's Family and also as well Julian King he is the 11th kid in chicago that has been killed due to violent crimes in the city or suburbs.
Organize a Neighboorhood Watch or Block Party have a BBQ invite your neighbors get to know everyone as individuals dont let race or culture get in the mix or way.
BE aware of who is causing issues in your are of town (gangs, dealers etc). Point them out to a Squad Car that goes thru your area of town so the police know about it.
Always call when you hear something (gun shots, screaming, Crying) you never know you might stop something from becoming serious.

Wish I could be there physically as violence happens in all economic and social status. We need to teach our young people that there are situations that can be handled with peace like through the teachings of the Great Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela and Gandhi.
Please have someone carry a candle for me and pray for our salvation and if you do have a chance to know of someone who is in touch with the Hudson family, let them know that my prayers and thoughts are with them. Keep the peace and keep it real!

So many people are overwhelmed by this story. From Chicago to California it saddens me that we have such sick people walking our streets daily. Dont put off today telling the people close to you how much you love them because there may never be a tomorrow. I feel your pain as I mentioned to you on your page I hope you are doing ok.......I am sorry to hear about your nephew. We love you Jennifer please try to be strong. I will keep the Hudson/King family in my prayers. I can't begin to imagine the pain you are enduring right now. We need to come together to bring an end to this kind of foolish violence.
